About the Degerbackarna project
Holmen is investigating the possibilities of applying for a permit to build and operate the Degerbackarna wind farm in Umeå municipality, about 18 kilometres north of Umeå.
In the map below you can see the location of the planned wind farm. At most, a total of 58 wind turbines with a maximum total height of 290 meters are planned in the project area.
The project area is located on Holmen's land, between the E4 road and the town of Bullmark. The area has a good wind location and is currently considered to have good conditions for wind power establishment.
