Susanne Salovius Department Manager in Pulpwood, Hallsta Paper Mill.
Susanne's journey within Holmen began as a trainee at the development department at Hallsta paper mill. During the year as a trainee, she also worked for a few months on Iggesund's mill, on a paperboard machine. "After the trainee program I worked as a Development Engineer, Production Engineer in the pulp mill, Production Engineer on one of our paper machines and now I work as a Department Manager in Pulpwood," says Susanne.
"I am very happy that it worked out this way"
"It was by chance that I came to Holmen," Susanne laughs. "It suited my schedule after I finished studying. I am very happy that it worked out this way. "
"Holmen – a small, big company"
"Holmen is a small company, yet it is big enough for you to try different things. It is small enough for things to happen rather quickly and you get to know most of the people here," Susanne says.
"Dedicated people that are involved in the development process"
"The best thing about my job is working with dedicated people that are involved in the development process," Susanne tells us. "Holmen has its own forests. From the forest that grows in this beautiful Nordic region we make fiber-based products, as a result of this Holmen contributes to sustainability since our products are recyclable."
"Both challenging and invigorating"
Sustainability issues are important to Susanne. "Our energy consumption affects Sweden's energy consumption. Being in a position to influence our energy consumption is something I find both challenging and invigorating", Susanne concludes.
