Sabine Clauss, District Manager at Holmen Forest
Sabine Clauss has an interesting background with her master's degree in Germany and forestry master's degree in forest management from SLU Sweden.
"My journey within Holmen, I´ve held quite a few positions. I started as an aspirant, then I worked as a Quality Technician, Forestry Manager, Timber Buyer and then I became a District Manager. "
"It's inspiring to see other people evolve"
"My work as a District Manger involves both managing Timber buyers and Production Leaders. I therefore look after the sourcing of timber locally, the felling and harvest process and transportation to industries," says Sabine. She enjoys her job very much, especially the variation. No two days are alike. "It's inspiring to see other people develop and see what we can do together."
"We look after each other"
When Sabine is asked to describe Holmen as an employer, she highlights two things in particular. "The best thing about working for Holmen, there are great opportunities for development and there is a culture where we look after each other. I appreciate that very much. "
"I think it´s great that Holmen is a Group "
Sabine emphasizes the strength of Holmen being a Group. "Personally, I think it´s great that Holmen is a Group. You have the entire chain of production. From the forest, a fantastic renewable raw material, all the way to the sawmills and our paper and paperboard mills. To see the whole process from start to finish is something I value greatly.
