Facts about the share

Holmen was listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 1936, but was called Mo och Domsjö AB at that time. Holmen’s two series of shares are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, Large Cap.

The share

  • Holmen's series A and B shares are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, Large Cap. 

  • Each series A share carries ten votes and each series B share one vote. In other respects, the shares carry the same rights. 

  • As per 2023-05-31 Holmen had 54 542 shareholders (2023-04-30: 54 583). 

  • Earnings per share amounted to SEK 36.3 (18.5) in 2022.
  • The dividend for 2022 amounted to SEK 16 (11.5) per share, of which SEK 8 (4) per share relates to an extra dividend.

  • The Holmen share was listed on Stockholms fondbörs 11 May 1936. 

  • During 2022 28 per cent of trading took place on Nasdaq Stockholm. The Holmen shares have also been traded on other trading platforms, such as Cboe BXE, LSE and Aquis during last year.

Dividend

Dividend for 2022

Holmen's Annual General Meeting 2023 resolved in favour of paying a dividend of SEK 16 (11.5) per share, of which SEK 8 (4) per share relates to an extra dividend. 

Dividend policy

Dividend will be based on the Group's profitability situation, future investment plans and financial position.

Over the past decade the total dividend has averaged 4 per cent of equity. This means that around 75 per cent of earnings per share have been paid by way of total dividend. 

In addition to ordinary dividends, Holmen paid extra dividends for the financial years 1998, 2000, 2003, 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Share buy-back

Mandate to buy back shares

The 2023 Annual General Meeting authorised the Board to be able to take decisions to purchase up to 10 per cent of the company's shares, by acquiring B-shares.

The Board of Directors of Holmen has decided to exercise its authorisation from the Annual General Meeting 2023 to buy back own shares. Repurchases may amount to a maximum of 3 million shares of series B during the period from and including 3 May 2023 until the next annual general meeting, on one or several occasions.

Implemented buy-backs

Holmen's total own holding of shares at 31 of May amounts to 1 284 969 of the series B-shares, which corresponds to 0.8 per cent of the total number of shares in issue and to some 0.2 percent of the total number of votes.
