Our hydro power production
Renewable hydro power is a valuable asset that generate electrical energy at a low cost and has a lifetime bordering on the infinite. Hydro power is also important for society, since production can be concentrated at times of peak demand. It therefore has a key role to play in the transition to an energy system with a low carbon footprint.

Holmen, outright or jointly with others, owns 21 hydro power stations located on the Umeälven, Faxälven, Gideälven, Iggesundsån, Ljusnan and Motala Ström rivers in Sweden.
